Best Childhood Memory

Today I'm going to try one of the 31 Day Blog Challenges by Fabulous Finds by Tiffany. I'm a little late in the game, but I'll just pull a Flylady (my hero btw!) and jump in where they are! :-)

So, one of my favorite childhood memories is going ice fishing with my dad. I remember the anticipation as we sat around the holes waiting and watching for the tip up flag to get sprung. And of course, the mad dash to reach the hole first! Those pikes were big though, so a lot of the time Dad had to help us kids pull them in. Wow! What a rush!

I'll never forget it!

What about you? Any favorite memories?

  1. How fun! I wish I could go fishing, but I tend to cry when I actually catch a fish, so it doesn't work out so well. I guess I'm just a lover, LOL. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Lol. My little sister didn't do well in our family. We lived on a farm and we grew up hunting. She would sit out in the barn with the deer and cry and pet them. Poor little baby. She would also catch snakes and kiss them. We always said she was much too tenderhearted to be part of our family. Or, maybe she just balanced the rest of us out. :)
